I’m constantly on the look out for great deals and when Booking Hello came on my radar, I knew this would be something a lot of you would be interested in. $900 USD for what’s known as the Hello Happiness pack is absolutely insane and it’s topped off with a discount platform that you get access to. Thing is it’s only available for purchase on Friday July 10th.
From what I can gather from Booking Hello‘s website, this is a collaboration project with Catalonia Hotels, a Spanish resort chain that has quite a collection of resorts now in the Caribbean. If you remember, I stayed at the Catalonia Royal Bavaro last year and had an amazing time.
On top of the Royal Bavaro, they have the Punta Cana and Gran Dominicus in the Dominican Republic. Catalonia also has properties in Mexico with the Royal Tulum, Riviera Maya, and Priv. Maroma.
Booking Hello is basically a free membership platform which gives you access to a bunch of discounted travel services but the big sell being the Hello Happiness Package which you’re going to find out about below.
The deal is this. When you sign up for Booking Hello’s membership, you buy into the $900 USD (for two) #HELLO Package which gives you 6 nights at one of two Catalonia all inclusive resort in the Caribbean for two people (Punta Cana and Maya Riviera) + airport transfers and exclusive bonuses. That makes it only $450 per person.
What else do you get for being a member? You get access to an online platform with exclusive discounts to other hotels around the world, car rentals, cruise companies, theme parks and excursions.
Here’s a sample deal for Voyage to the Falls Boat Tour if you were a member.
The only catch is that the membership to Booking Hello is only good for one year and that you have to do your travel before ____. Of course airfare is your own responsibility so the hotness of the deal will depend on how good of a flight ticket you can find but the Caribbean is usually pretty easy.
While it’s hard to say if those exclusive discounts on the online platform will be worth your time, $900 for two at a Catalonia resort is already a damn fine deal even if you have to cancel your membership when the year is up.
Is It Worth It?
I did a sample search on Catalonia’s website for 6 nights in August and the Catalonia Punta Cana was coming in at $1308 USD for two.
The Catalonia Maya Riviera came out out even more at $1492.44.
There are definitely big savings to be had.
Going Awesome Places’ Take
The $900 deal for 6 nights is awesome if you can find cheap flights down to Mexico or the Dominican Republic. Since no blackout dates apply, you can really make this a sweet deal. The membership component to it which revolves around added services of access to deals is a nice bonus on top but definitely not a primary reason why you’d want to jump on this. What I’d do is, after taking your vacation, you can evaluate what to do with the membership itself.
Who this is for: Someone looking at doing an all inclusive vacation for this year and wanting a great deal.
What might not making it so hot of a deal?: Canadians aren’t going to find this the greatest deal because of the exchange rate. Also, if the flights turn out to be too expensive, you might be better off finding a bundled package of all-inclusive and flight.
