Despite all the political instability, social turmoil, and security warnings to Egypt, I went in with no expectations or preconceived notions. Boy am I glad I went. Now is the perfect time to go because tourism is at an all-time low which means you're dealing with way less people than ever before. What made Egypt so special for me was the ability to teleport myself right into Ancient Egypt. Whether it was cruising down the Nile, or Indiana Jones-ing through Luxor, Valley of the Kings, Temple of Komombo, I was deeply entranced by the stories that defined an age.
