Hyatt Corporate Codes
Now that we’ve put together codes together for Hilton, IHG and Marriott, another highly requested hotel chain is Hyatt.
Read next: Yes, we have all of the top hotel chains compiled together with the best hotel corporate codes.
The Hyatt Hotels Corporation is headquartered in Chicago and have a number of luxury and business hotels, resorts, and vacation properties around the world.
At the top the Grand Hyatt is equivalent to the Conrad with Hilton and the Ritz-Carlton or JW Marriott in the Marriott family.
In between, there’s everything from Park Hyatt, Hyatt Regency, Hyatt, Hyatt Place, Hyatt House, Miraval, and Hyatt Residence Club.
Finally you have the boutique and independent properties that include Andaz, Alila, Thompson Hotels, Hyatt Centric, Caption, JdV, and The Unbound Collection.
This article is meant to be a simple compilation of publicly known and shared Hyatt corporate codes and discounts that can be found on Flyertalk. This will help employees quickly find their codes if you didn’t know it already.
Can anyone use these codes?
Simple answer: No, these Hyatt corporate designed for those affiliated with the company that the code is for.
In a similar way to the best car rental coupon codes, hotel corporate codes work in the same way. As long as you’re affiliated with the company (ie. employee, vendor, customer), you can take advantage of these discounts.
Do all check-in staff check for ID?: It depends.
How often do staff ask for ID?: Hyatt is notorious for checking for ID and being quite thorough in this regard so for those wanting to use this without being an actual employee, I’d be very cautious. Also, as a generality, they are most strict internationally (i.e. Asia and Europe) and a less strict in the US and Canada to a degree.
Can I still collect World of Hyatt points?
Yes, even if you use a Hyatt corporate code, you can still collect World of Hyatt points.
What do I need to prove affiliation with the company?
If you go through the Flyertalk thread, you’ll read countless stories of folks getting their IDs checked and in some cases finding out that they needed either a special company letter or needing some from the company to fax in their reason for staying there. There have also been some asks such as needing to have your company badge on hand.
That said, in most cases, a business card is enough which many employees have argued should be enough.
List of Hyatt corporate codes
Here is a full listing of Hyatt corporate codes.
One thing you will quickly notice is that there is no fixed discount amount for each code. They vary wildly between Hyatt brands and destinations. What we’ve done is do our best to calculate averages to give you a sense of how good one code is compared to another to give you a starting point.
The methodology
Like the IHG corporate codes, Hyatt’s corporate discounts all over the place. While good, they’re also not as deep as you’d hope they should be. I suspect a large part is because of the negotiated rates and how the industry has changed over these past few years.
The problem is this: There’s wild variability between brands, cities, and countries.
To try to do as deep of an analysis as possible, I selected 5 cities this time: Toronto, New York City, Paris, Hong Kong, and Tokyo.
Within each city, I worked with either 3 or 4 hotels spread across different Hyatt brands.
For a specific date across the board, I compared non-discounted rack rates with the corporate code to calculate the discount percentage.
The codes
Hyatt corporate codes are don’t seem to have a fixed number of digits. Some are 4, others are 5, and some even have leading letters.
The below is a list of codes sorted by the ones that provide the best total average of discounts. You’ll also see the average discounts for each city which demonstrates how differently they work.
We’ve also removed all codes that no longer work or at least provide any discount for the cities and hotels selected.
TIP: For convenience, each of the links will take you to the Hyatt home page with the code applied. It will also copy the code to your computer’s clipboard so you can paste it in if you need to.
Observations about how these codes work
Not to sound like a broken record, here are few key observations of these corporate codes
- The discounts are all over the place – sometimes working across the board but some being region-specific or brand-specific.
- Existing “Save More” sales – These public promotions almost always override the discount you can get with a corporate code.
- Discounts aren’t round numbers – Without an understanding of the actual algorithm, I can say that the discounts aren’t easy 5%, 10%, 15% off values.
- Great in some countries and terrible in others – There are several codes that are absolutely amazing in Tokyo but barely work in Toronto so you just have to try it out.
Which Hyatt corporate discount code is the best?
It’s a long list of discount codes and if we objectively take the top 5 based on the amount of discount, they are:
- 16000 – Converse
- 52730 – Oracle Taiwan
- 20937 – Pepsi
- 61059 – Microsoft
- 12114 – Duty Free Shoppers N V
How to enter a Hyatt corporate code
Entering a Hyatt hotel corporate code is quite easy. Here are the steps to put in the code once you land on the Hyatt website.
Head to the homepage and look for the drop down “Special Rates (AAA, Govt, …)”. If you don’t see it right away, start entering your search information and it will show up.
Select “Corporate or Group Code” and in the text field, enter your corporate code.
Click on the “Find Hotels” button to see your search results.
The Hyatt results will show you the lowest rates with the corporate code applied however you won’t see any indication that these are special rates other than your corporate code being indicated at the top.
After you click on “View Rates”, you’ll see a carousel of all the rates. The first one will be the corporate rate and the company will be identified at the top and also the rate rules.
If you go one step further, you’ll again see the corporate code identified at the top.
Not all corporate codes are cheaper than public rates
As a heads up, there are some codes where the corporate code rate are actually worse than the publicly available rates.
Hyatt Chainwide discount
Lastly, it’s worth noting that many corporate codes aren’t identified as belonging to a specific company on the website even though it is.
When you do your search using a code like 72539, you’ll see that it comes up as “Hyatt Chainwide”. Under the rules, valid corporate ID is still required.
Even though it doesn’t mention your company, rest assured that the discount is applied. However, again as you’ll see below, sometimes the public rate is still cheaper because there might be a special promotion going on.
Special Hyatt promotions
Hyatt has periodic promotions and they list them on this offers page.
Most of these offers are geared towards World of Hyatt members so make sure to join if you haven’t already yet.

Public Hyatt discount codes
If you don’t work for the companies listed in the table above, there are still a couple that you might’ve seen there that you can use yourself.
AAA and CAA Auto Club
Off the bat, there’s AAA in the US and CAA in Canada. This is pretty common in the travel industry and always a great place to start as many of you already have membership to this club.
Hyatt makes this super easy for members as you don’t need to use a code to check these rates. Simply select “AAA/CAA Member” in the Special Rates drop down.
The bad news here is that the discounts are pretty small (roughly 2%) to nil.
AARP and Seniors
If you’re 62 and above, you’re eligible for the Senior Citizen rate. All you have to do is select “Senior” in the Special Rates dropdown and the discount will be applied.
Also, if you’re a member of AARP, there is code 17497.
In both instances, I did not find that they offered any significant discount but it’s worth a try.
Government or Veteran
If you work for the government or are a veteran, you can also see how good your discount is by selecting “Government” or “Veteran” in the Special Rates dropdown.
There are some mixed results in terms of discounts for both but certainly worth trying.
World of Hyatt
Just by being a World of Hyatt member entitles you to their member rates. The discount isn’t always significant or better than their special offers but since it’s free to be a member, this is always an option.
Freelancers Union
You may not be a member of Freelancers Union but it’s free to join and anyone can be part of the community.
Who are they?
Freelancers Union is the largest and fast-growing organization representing the 56.7 million independent workers across the country. We provide our 500,000+ members a powerful support system and voice through policy advocacy, benefits, resources and community
The Freelancers Union corporate code is B200936 and on average provides 4% discount in North America and 2% in Europe from what we’ve seen.
Out of all of the above, this can yield the best discounts with Hyatt.
Price matching
Something that Hyatt is very proud of is their Hyatt Best Rate Guarantee.
If you do find a rate that’s cheaper, there’s a claim form that has to be filled out within 24 hours of booking.
Hyatt will not only match it but give an additional 20% off or offer 5,000 World of Hyatt bonus points.
