All-inclusive + luxury ranch in one sentence? Hells yes! Most of the time when we think about resorts, we think palm trees, the beach and white sand beaches but what if instead you traded it in for a mountains, an old-fashioned rodeo and epic hiking?
I had my first ranch experience this year when spending time at Zion National Park. Instead finding a rundown motel to stay at, we discovered the Zion Ponderosa Ranch Resort. This gave me a taste of what it’s like to be on a ranch with a multitude of activities. We got to do ATVs and skeet shooting. That being said though, our accommodations weren’t exactly luxurious nor were they all-inclusive.
So what if I told you, there was a ranch out there that is not only surrounded by epic scenery, was awarded the Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star Reward in 2014, takes glamping to the next level and gives you unlimited all-inclusive access to food and activities. You’d say it was impossible right? Well, wrong! Once you hear more about The Ranch at Rock Creek, you’re going to be blown away with everything they have to offer.

The Ranch at Rock Creek Review
Nestled at the base of the John Long Mountains and encompassing four miles of river frontage along Rock Creek, the ranch is just outside of Philipsburg, Montana, a historic mining town. The dramatic scenery continues with the Deer Lodge National Forest that borders the resort and the Flint Creek Range that is not too far to the east.
Ever wanted to live the cowboy life on a real Western ranch but to do it without sacrificing luxury? The Ranch at Rock Creek combines outdoor wilderness with the peaceful serenity of ranch life. With breathtaking views and being miles away from the big city, this is truly the best example of ranch living done right. Whether you’re looking to rejuvenate at the spa, eat amazing 3 course meals, hike to the ridge tops of the Sapphire Mountains or just relax in the plush glamping accommodations, there’s a bit of something for everyone here.
And hey, if this is good enough for Kate Bosworth’s wedding, then that’s gotta say something right?
Glamping = glamorous + camping
For those that don’t know what glamping is, don’t worry it’s a term I only recently learned this year. What excites me about The Ranch at Rock Creek the most is how this is truly luxury camping of epic proportions.
I’ll let the photos do the talking here. That’s some serious glamping right?
So many activities that you won’t even need to leave the resort
What gets me so excited about the ranch is the numerous activities that are on tap for you to take advantage of. They even have all seasons covered.
As a guest, you have access to all of the following:
- Horseback riding
- Private access fly fishing on approximately 4 miles of Rock Creek (as well as on several private trout ponds)

List long enough for you?
Food to water your mouth over
If that wasn’t enough, just read one of the numerous TripAdvisor reviews and you’ll quickly learn that the food at the ranch is also amazing. Included with your stay is a full American breakfast, luncheon in the dining room or picnic lunch, cocktails and appetizers, three course dinners, paired with premium wines. Snacks, beverages, beer, premium wine and cocktails are also included to boot.
Just look at this quoted TripAdvisor review.
One of the major distinctions at the Ranch is the high-end food. Each and every single meal was a delicious treat and the ranch’s head Chef Josh and his team worked tirelessly to make the next meal even better than the last. I guarantee when you leave you’ll be telling people about the food. My wife can’t stop talking about how good the bison meatloaf was.
Bottom line
If you’re looking for to experience what it’s like to live at one of the world’s most luxurious ranches, soak in the photo worthy scenery, excite the senses with so many adventurous activities, eat world class food and unwind like you’ve never done before at The Ranch at Rock Creek.
