This was our second time staying at Nátthagi and it did not disappoint! It is absolutely one of our favorite places to stay in Iceland. Set in a gorgeous central location, this cozy cottage is a great base for exploring all that the stunning Snæfellsnes Peninsula has to offer. The Wifi is strong, the kitchen well appointed and the beds are comfy. Communication with the hosts was perfect and check in and check out very easy. Not that I wanted to check out. We were ready to move in! Looking forward to our next stay!

The room was comfortable and quiet, good size for the two of us. Breakfast and dinner were delicious. We went end of March and were in a snowy paradise with 4ft snow drifts in front of our room windows. We love winter so the cold and wind were perfect for us.

This was probably the best place my friend and I stayed at in Iceland. It was new, clean, perfect amount of space with a great layout, nice and secluded, great view, easy to find, the people were lovely, and the dog was adorable and friendly! Everything and more you could want from a place to stay! I wish everywhere was as nice, this place checked all of our boxes. We even were able to faintly see the northern lights.
This award-winning, eco-friendly hotel is on the Snæfellsnes peninsula, 3.7 mi from Iceland’s famous Snæfellsjökull glacier and volcano.

The view was great. Could see Kirkjufell from the balcony. Property was very clean. Nice to have some kitchen tableware and minimal cooking items. It was just a minute's walk from a grocery store too, so that was nice.

This is a hidden gem - I would come back to the Snafellsness peninsula just to stay in this hotel again. The view all around is breathtaking - you have it all - the glacier, the magnificent mountains and a waterfall, lava fields and the black rocky beaches hidden behind pink sand dunes. Do not miss the hike behind the hotel and do it before 10am to have a complete solitude from tourists. Restauarnt and bar are top notch.
Super location with incredible views in all directions. This was our first night in Iceland. Bar and restaurant were great and dinner was very nice. Staff was very engaging. Peter our waiter kept us laughing and made for a great evening. The northern lights were present that night and we literally just walked a few hundred yards from the Hotel to view them. Room was a bit warm and as we've learned during the rest of our trip we now turn off all the heat when we arrive. We like to sleep in colder temps.
Everything about our stay at hotel budir was amazing. It was worth every penny to stay for our time at the Snæfellsnes Peninsula. They provide the charming European countryside feel in a luxurious, relaxing way. The bar and restaurant were incredible. I think my favorite part was how comfortable the room and numerous lounge areas were with the most incredible views of the coast and mountains. The staff were all incredibly friendly and our time here was very special.
We loved staying at this lovely hotel. It is in a picturesque setting with lovely views to the ocean and mountains from our corner room. The bed was comfortable and the room spacious. The decor is in keeping with the era of the hotel, very retro with vintage furniture and furnishings.
The restaurant was very good, the food and service excellent.
The hotel is more expensive than others of the same class in Iceland but it is unique in it’s history and location.
I actually booked this for my clients (I'm a travel agent) and Budir Hotel exceeded their and my expectations. It was their 25th wedding anniversary and they actually renewed their vows in the Black Church behind the hotel. The staff went above and beyond to make their stay very special, even giving them a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine upon arrival. I will definitely use them for all my future clients to travel to that region. Thank you so much!
We loved everything about the hotel. The location for a visit to the peninsula is perfect; it avoids long trips back to, for example, Borgarnes. The restaurant was terrific too. The only complain is that the bathrooms, especially the shower facilities are a bit outdated. That would not stop me from recommending the hotel to friends.
This hotel has an old-school charm with modern amenities. It’s very cozy and quaint while serving a large amount of rooms. The staff was kind and attentive. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. Plus, their New Years Eve celebrations were so delightful. We loved staying here!
Beautiful property with incredible views! The rooms were nice, a bit small. Staff were exceptional and the food was great! We had dinner at the hotel and breakfast the next morning. The best part is we saw an artic fox on the beach! Tipped off by the waiter in the bar.
Location is simply amazing, the hotel offers unique views from multiple rooms inside. The food was probably the best i've had in Iceland. The rooms and the common spaces are very elegant and cozy. Had an amazing experience and i definitely recommend it.
Hotel Budir was probably our best stay in Iceland. We loved the wonderful remote location, our room was very comfortable, the staff were friendly and helpful, the food was great. Can’t really ask for more! Thank you to everyone in the Budir team.
Lovely hotel. Welcoming staff and efficient check in. Wonderful remote location with amazing views in all directions. Very well equipped and comfortable room. Breakfast was excellent.
this was a gorgeous hotel with friendly helpful staff, a wonderful restaurant, and next to one of the most beautiful areas including the well know Black Church
