Québec is a unique mixture of history-soaked cobblestone streets, metropolises that resemble continental Europe, sophisticated culinary palette, distinct culture, and keen sense of adventure in its epic backyard. There’s a lot to like about the province that feels like a world away but is merely a short skip and a hop.
For The Love Of Québec
I have vivid memories of Québec from my own trip a few years ago. I landed in the capital of Québec City and was dropped into a wild celebration of ice castles, maple syrup, parades, canoes across the ice-choked St. Lawrence, and dancing in the snow with only my swim trunks.
Perhaps what surprised me the most wasn’t what we did in the city but when we drove out to the small townships. This is where rustic creature comforts meets stunning raw outdoors. My eyes were open to the diversity of outdoor activities that are available in Québec.
Jagged coasts, mineral rich waters, and isolated islands offer whale watching, hiking, camping in pods clinging to trees, epic sunsets, and gorgeous drives in the Summer while snowy tundras and Laurentian mountains lend itself to amazing dogsledding, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, skating, and ice fishing in the Winter.
It’s all in Québec.
While only a stone’s throw away from Toronto, I remembering asking myself “how I come I didn’t know about this before” and “I seriously need to come here more often”. It’s all in Québec.
Letting Go Of The Daily Grind
Everyday life is fast-paced, routine, complicated, and sometimes scary. They say that “to travel is to live” and my personal interpretation of it is that some of the best reasons to travel are to free the spirit, the mind, and disconnect to reconnect by opening up to new discoveries, and adventures. Ultimately for me, it’s about letting go of some of those fears and embracing positive energy.
Think about the best trip that you’ve ever taken. The one that is most memorable and vivid are the ones where there’s an intense connection the local people, the culture, the food, the energy, and the visual sensations. It may not always be planned but it’s in those moments where you feel completely disconnected from where you came from and you’re enthralled by everything around you.
Watch How You Can “Let Go”
Everything I talked about is exactly what 5 influencers had a chance to do in the amazing Québec. Jumping into the greatest adventure they’ve ever taken, they embarked on a quest of letting go. Accompanied with music by Québecois artist Geoffroy, see how Jean Imbert, Kiersten Rich, Benjamin Prescott, Jess Dales, and Alan Estrada took in the intensity of Québec’s people, culture, and landscapes.
As you watch you’ll probably be wondering “how do I do something like that” and “whoa, I’ve never done that before in Québec”. What you need to know is that all of it is real and activities that anyone can book.
