Got sick and decided it was better to stay home and recuperate.
Pigeon Forge is a family entertainment hotbed in the Great Smoky Mountains. Though ‘great’ is quite an understatement, as the sight of blue mist hovering above forested peaks is simply breathtaking.
The most famous attraction is undoubtedly Dollywood, where a steam train puffs around a host of rides and shows in a theme park named after country legend Dolly Parton. Within the grounds is the Southern Gospel Museum and Hall of Fame, and next door are pools and waterslides at Dolly’s Splash Country.
Cowboy boots should be at the ready for the singer’s Dixie Stampede dinner theatre and the Country Tonite Theater, and toe-tapping is also virtually guaranteed at the Grand Majestic Theater and Smoky Mountain Opry.
The Old Mill is a wooden watermill on the Little Pigeon River, once part of a forge complex which sparked the town’s name. Also by the river are some Pigeon Forge outlet malls and the NASCAR SpeedPark which hosts car and truck events. The Elvis Museum houses memorabilia of ‘The King’ while the Titanic Museum is a floating, half-size replica of the doomed ship.
This is just the tip of the iceberg and with Booking.com’s great deals on pet-friendly hotels and cheap motels on Pigeon Forge Parkway, you might just be tempted to do what the town’s sign requests: Y’all come back.
Best steak is at Alamo.
Know that you are going to wait to eat at most of the good restaurants....they are worth the wait.
The Island is great to go walk around with kids. The dancing water from the rocking chairs is very fun and beautiful to watch.
You can sometimes get out of the traffic by just going over a block or so.

Nice entertainment for kids and young people.
Nice entertainment for kids and young people. Plenty of gift shops and outlet stores, therefore a lot of walking! Gifts for all ages! Beautiful in the Spring 🌼 but the fall 🍂 season is very enjoyable there as well. Plenty of cabins and resorts with swimming pools!

It was great. I'm going back with my whole family.
It was great. I'm going back with my whole family. All my kids, there wife's and grandkids. It was a lot of fun. We did alot of shopping and the Bush's baked beans tour. Went into the mountains too. We would like to go back to see the caverns under the mountains and Dollyworld, check out the flea market they have on the weekends. There so much to do there. There's alot of back roads you can take here to get places faster. There's alot of place's to eat there too. Everywhere we went to eat was very good. My favorite was the smaller diner. The worst was the family kitchen on the drag, it was way over priced and the service was terrible, and the food wasn't that good neither. But all in all I had a wonderful time.

There are many things to do that appeal to all sorts of tastes.
Favorite eating places were: "Mel's Diner", "Fort Worth Steakhouse", "The Local Goat" and "Mad Dogs".
"Sound of Soul Music" show is one of PF's best-kept secrets.
Paula Deen's Lumberjack show included "dinner" - a take-out box with a dab of barbecue, mac 'n cheese, baked beans, peach cobbler and a roll. PDL lines were long, both to get tickets and to get food. Seemed understaffed. Show was good though. If you can buy a ticket without the dinner, do that. See the show; it was fun.
Drive to Cades Cove. It's 30 miles from PF. Well-worth the drive.
We traveled with our Yorkie. At Arby's the server gave her a "pup cup", a dish of vanilla soft serve. Our dog loved it!
Explore stores on Teaster Rd. and Veteran's Boulevard.

We love the area and the friendliness the mountain has to offer. You can find that is a common theme.
However the downside is traffic. There aren’t many turn lights and a heavy flow going to wait to turn on a green light. We ate dinner at Calhouns and loved it! Service and meal was excellent!!! Dollywood is always a hit with our family!!! So family friendly!!
This hotel is perfect to us! Right by the river, beautiful walking area, comfortable firepit outside! This is our 4th stay here, and this time, it was literally perfect. The room smelled very, very clean, unexpectedly fresh, and clean, and it made our night sleeping so much more comfortable! Staff is beyond friendly! Also, the open bible with a marker and prayer for you by the g.m of the hotel had now made us customers for life! Anytime we stay in Pigeon forge or the smokies, it will be at the inn on the river! Thank you again!
Upon arriving, we were greeted by Keith, who was so sweet and made us feel very welcome. That is something I definitely notice when I walk into a hotel. A smile and a friendly hello makes all the difference and Keith showed that!
Room and bed was very comfortable and the pool was wonderful. Perfect temperature of water! Loved how the pool was open 24 hours, unlike other hotels that close by 10, cause after a fun filled day, it was nice to go for a swim and sit in the hot tub before heading to bed 😊
We absolutely love this hotel. This was our second stay here. The kids absolutely LOVE the indoor pool, which also includes a kiddie pool & a hot tub, with poolside tables and chairs. The staff are amazing, very helpful and polite. The view is amazing, with ducks and geese along the riverside just outside the hotel. Located on the parkway just down the street from all the major attractions.
The location is perfect— right beside Margaritaville. We went down for NYE for a friend's birthday and was trying to stay oss to where they had her party. The location was great because it was just a couple hotels down from the sorry and we all walked to Margaritaville afterward for all the NYE festivities. The bed was decently comfortable, and the heat worked great.
This was our second stay at this location and we enjoy the location to Dollywood, but when we stay here it has dominos pizza and a Hardee’s within walking distance or driving if you choose without having to get out on the parkway. Also there is a dollar general directly next to hotel for any forgotten essentials. The breakfast in the morning is delicious.
Location was great, right on the strip in pigeon forge. Easy access to everything. The room was very clean, no bugs. The front desk attendant was quick and got us checked in fast after a long day of traveling. This is one of the cleanest hotels I have stayed at. Also the price just can't be beat.
The breakfast man was really nice and very sweet to my son. We liked that there was a pool and the location was great because it was accessible (from Sevierville) without having to get on the parkway. It was also at the end of Pigeon Forge and made going to the National Park easy.
We LOVED the room! It was very spacious and accommodated our big family. The location was AWESOME! We had a great view of the ferris wheel at The Island in Pigeon Forge and we were able to walk to plenty of attractions. I would definitely recommend this hotel to other families.
The property was right in the middle of everything in pigeon forge, we did not have to drive very far to find things to do or good places to eat. We arrived at the hotel early and the lady let us check in a few hours early which was wonderful. We really enjoyed staying here.
We were on the river side in the hotel and the view from our balcony was beautiful. The lower deck was a great way to sit with family and enjoy the weather and wildlife. The pools were great for the kids. They really enjoyed them.
The location was good, being right before the Spur, it was more quiet than other hotels on the Parkway and was nice that there was easy access to a couple of places to eat without having to get in the car and drive.
We loved the balcony overlooking the river. The hotel was in a good location away from the main road in Pigeon Forge, but close enough to restaurants and the Smoky Mountains. Room was very clean and comfortable.
excellent staff, great breakfast, very clean, very comfortable, and always a great place to stay being close to everything, would highly recommend this hotel if you are traveling to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.
Handy location for our visit to Pigeon Forge

staff were friendly & helpful.
Room clean
Housekeeping
Hotel appeared to be full and parking was a problem at the site; overflow lot to rear did the job.
Sunday morning showers were a problem due to no hot water.
Balcony view, cleanest hotel I’ve ever stayed at in pigeon forge, super friendly staff, easy check in, beautiful rooms, great room, nice housekeeping 😃
