Whether you’re a local exploring Canada or visiting from another country, the Must Do Canada Saver Card is something you should have in your wallet. With more than 80 discounts on must-do activities and attractions such as helicopter tours, rafting excursions, and whale watching tours, this pass is a great way to experience more of Canada and spend less by saving money.
Canada is known for its natural beauty and world-class cities. Too often, however, discounts are focused on simple city attractions and chain restaurants, not giving incentive and inspiration to really explore the cities, the provinces, and the country to its full potential. The Must Do Canada Saver Card aims to change this by only offering the best things to do in Canada from coast to coast to coast. Whether you’re exploring the country solo, as a couple, or with your whole family, there’s something for everyone.
Inspiration for the Must Do Canada Saver Card
As the second largest country in the world, Canada has no shortage of adventure and things to do. Whether you’re looking to explore world-class cities or walk on the world’s largest non-polar glacier, Canada is the place to make it happen. Back in 2017, my wife and I drove across Canada for 150-days to celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday. Together, along with our friend Justin, we created a 12-part video series, showcasing some of the best things to do in Canada, from coast to coast to coast.
It was an unforgettable Canada road trip. Not only did we meet such wonderful people along the way but we also experienced so much in each province and territory, learning about the history while having the time of our lives. We walked around the streets of the oldest English-settled city in North America, drank beer made from icebergs, rafted the world’s highest tides, took a helicopter tour over one of the most powerful waterfalls in North America, walked under the Northern Lights, watched killer whales jump out of the water, went hiking the Canadian Rocky Mountains, and even flew into the world’s first UNESCO World Heritage Site. It’s truly incredible what you can experience in Canada and this was just a taste of everything we did.
As we shared our adventure on our website and on our Canada travel vlog, we received so many comments about how inspired people were to visit Canada on their next adventure. Some had never been here before but suddenly wanted to come. Others had been to some of the cities but didn’t realize all the places they were missing. Most astonishingly though was all the Canadians who had never seen this part of their own country. Our videos made them so proud that some even said they cried after watching us feature their home province.
After reading all of these comments and realizing all the incredible things there are to do in Canada, I wanted to create a way to make it easier for people to do. Starting with all the companies we worked with along the way, I reached out and asked if they’d be willing to offer discounts throughout 2019. I then compiled a list of other adventures and activities that I thought worthy of “must-do” status. After 80 companies said yes, I decided to create the Must Do Canada Saver Card.
