Perfectly situated on the St. Pete Beach, Sirata Beach Resort is the kind of place where you can enjoy the warm gulf breezes, ocean waves, and pristine white sand.  Amongst the 13 acres of beachfront, you’re pretty much guaranteed to find your perfect spot to relax.  If you’re looking for more than just beach, Sirata also has 3 pools, 2 beachside grills, one fine restaurant and a bunch of other amenities that’ll get you quickly along your way to your west coast Florida paradise.

A beach of perfect sunsets

Sunset as part of the Sirata Beach Resort review

For me, the highlight to my stay at Sirata was definitely doing a whole lot of nothing and watching perfect sunset after perfect sunset.  What makes the St. Pete Beach and in fact the whole left coast is that it’s facing the right direction for sunsets versus *cough* Miami.

Included with your stay is the use of the beach cabanas (with the right package).  These cabanas open up and keep you shaded from the sun if you want to read a book or want a little privacy.

Another reason why I love St. Pete Beach is the fact you don’t have walk for a mile until you get to the water.  From the resort you’re literally 1 minute away from maxin’ and relaxin’.

Suite rooms *nudge nudge* get it?

Sirata Standard King Suite Bed

For my stay, I had the opportunity to stay in a Standard King Suite complete with a living area, sofabad and kitchenette.

While the buildings at Sirata may look a little on the older side, I was pleasantly surprised when I stepped into my room.  I could immediately tell it was recently renovated with its tasteful dark wood furniture and inviting decor.  Front to back, my suite was my little home away from home.  I very much appreciated having my own little kitchenette which meant being able to buy groceries at the nearby Publix.

The wow point was definitely the view from the suite.  While I didn’t have a direct view of the gulf, I had this fabulous view.

You honestly can’t go wrong with any room here because they are all incredibly close to the amenities on site, the pool, hot tub, restaurants and of course the beach.

There’s something for everyone

Whether you’re staying here with family, with your significant other or hanging out with friends, there are plentiful things to do and eat.

If we’re talking food, you have your pick of Compass Grill which I had a chance to eat in which serves up top notch cuisine.  For something more casual you have Harry’s Beach Bar, and Rum Runners Bar & Grill which are steps away from the beach and pool.  One thing I really loved was the fact that there is a fire pit right at Harry’s Beach Bar which is perfect for those colder nights in St. Pete’s.

Wanting to go for a dip?  With the three beachfront pools and two hot tubs, you’ll never find it too packed.

Kids have a lot of things to do here.  Right on the beach is a full playground and an air filled slide that doubles as a water slide as well.   Can you believe there’s also a mini arcade room at Sirata as well?  A variety of water sports activities are available from the beach with Captain DaveWater sports activities are available from the beach with Captain Dave and also a mini arcade room.

With the kids busy, adults get games too with Harry’s bean bag tossing (cornhole) and Bimini ring toss game, pool table, ping pong table and beach volleyball.  The fun doesn’t stop there because Suncoast Watersports with Captain Dave on the beach can also give guests access to parasailing, waverunner rentals, kayaks, sunset cruises, and dolphin watching.

Those staying at the resort for an extended period of time will enjoy the fact that they have coin-operated laundry facilities.  And if you’re wanting to tone those muscles for the beach, there’s a surprisingly well-equipped gym at Sirata as well.
