Taiwan Travel Guide
Oh the food!
Taiwan to me is a cleaner, friendlier, and more sophisticated version of Asia. It may be a small island but there is much to see all around from Jiufen, Taroko Gorge, and the capital city of Taipei. What does it for me though is just how good the food is here. I would totally spend the whole day exploring the night markets and munching on snacks along the way if I could!
This Taiwan travel guide will help you plan your next vacation.

12 Days in Taiwan Travel Guide – Itinerary to Explore the Entire Island
Taiwan is known by many names but perhaps the most memorable one is Formosa. Now that sounds a bit odd but it was in fact coined by Portuguese explorers in the 16th century. Ilha Formosa directly translates to “Beautiful Island” and they sure got it right. Between the energy of the dynamic urban cities, bustling of the […]
Why You Need To Travel To Taiwan Next
May I be so bold in saying that Taiwan should be on everyone’s “must-travel-to” list? It’s a country that everyone’s heard of but when you start exploring the entire island, you realize how unexpectedly off-the-beaten path it is. In this sweet potato-shaped country, all it takes is a bit of unfolding to reveal a bursting […]

Day 74 – Taiwan to Japan – Reunited!
With two weeks passing by, my time with travel buddy Joanna was about to come to a close. I couldn’t have asked for a better travel buddy and without her suggestion I never would have made it out to Palau or Taiwan. Taipei Airport This day was largely a transit day and with some preplanning […]
Day 73 – Taipei – Chillin in Shilin
This time the weather reports were right. Come morning, Typhoon Saola was right overtop of us. The good thing though was that it was downgraded to a tropical storm so it was really just heavy rain minus the wind. Looked like all the heavy stuff came the day before when my umbrella got destroyed and […]
