There’s something absolutely liberating about dropping to the depths of the deep blue, blowing bubbles of air, and watching in awe, a whole other world where creatures glide effortlessly. The best part about diving is that it is a true escape. With the sounds of everyday life tens of metres away, it’s one of the […]
Palau Travel Guide
A diving sancturary.
Not many people know about the Pacific island of Palau but for those that do, you'll recognize it for Jellyfish Lake and possibly the history of World War 2 and a savage battle that was waged on Peleliu. What I will say is that this was one of the most memorable diving spots I've ever been to. A must-do for any serious divers.
This Palau travel guide will help you plan your next vacation.

Backpacking Asia Travel Guide – My Lessons Learned
These are the things you need to know before embarking on an epic adventure out to Asia as I did in 2012. Brace yourself though. It’s a lot of information and I’ve tried to summarize and organize it as best as I can. This is my own take on things I learned, things I wish […]
Summer in a Nutshell
Summarizing my amazing trip to Asia with fully detailed itineraries A lot of you have asked for just a summary of everything I did this summer so I thought I’d slap together the itinerary into one article to make it easier to consume and disseminate. Make sure you click on each of the headers to get […]
Day 71 – Palau – Ending with a Big Scrape
Our flight back to Taiwan wasn’t until 6:50PM so there was plenty of time to do something else other than diving. Since there wasn’t really much else to do around town in terms of self exploring and Koror isn’t really known for its beaches so I thought it’d be perfect to do a kayaking excursion […]
Day 70 – Palau – Last Day of Diving
So I realized that the underwear situation wasn’t looking good and I was too lazy to hand wash everything so in the morning I went across the street from our hotel to this laundry placed called Orrekim before we headed over to Sam’s. Luckily they just opened and found out that my 1 KG of […]
Day 69 – Peleliu – A WWII History Lesson
A Day Trip to Peleliu with Impac Our 3rd day in Palau was a dry one which was a nice break to have from the diving. For those of you that know, I’m pretty interested in World War II history and after watching the Pacific I knew that we had to see Peleliu – a […]
Day 68 – Palau – Jelly Fish Lake
Instant noodles for breakfast just wasn’t going to do and since the West Plaza Malakal was walking distance to Sam’s we went straight in for breakfast at the shop. French toast. Things are getting started on the right foot at last! Our dives today were with dive master Siksei (yep pronounced sexy), captain Charlie, and […]
Day 67 – Palau – Ngerchong Outside and Dexter’s Corner
I’m not sure if I slept any better this night but the main consolation was that we were moving out and that certainly felt good. Here are some pictures of the room. Trust me when I say that it was worse than it looks. For breakfast we had to start kill some of the instant […]
Day 66 – Palau – Open Water Diver Certified!
So our first real day in Palau didn’t exactly turn out as I had imagined. 1) I wake up extremely groggy because I had barely slept. I kept tossing and turning and waking up during the night because of the creepy crawly feeling or because of the loud-ass AC. 2) I go for our breakfast […]
Day 65 – Taipei to Palau – Here We Come!
Inside the W This is the only W I’ve ever stayed at and was overall very impressed with everything from our room to the service, breakfast, amenities and styling. What the W lacked in any sort of lounge they sure made up with an excellent breakfast. Joanna and I were running around trying to pick […]
